In September of 2002 , amidst the glorious setting of the Globe Inn , Dumfries and in the company of the president of the World Burns Federation Matt Muir won the coveted Tam o' Shanter trophy for his recital of ; arguably one of Robert Burns' greatest works.

In his debut cd The Day Returns Matt performs Tam O' Shanter alongside other notable works of Rabbie, including ; Holy Willie's prayer, Is there for honest poverty and A Parcel of rogues in a Nation. With 14 Tracks and accompaniment from Allan Henderson ( fiddle ) , Fiona Hosey ( Vocals ) and Keith Johnston ( Cittern / Guitar)
